N.M.G.C Annual Dinner and Presentation of Prizes 2012

In our 120th year the Norther Merchants Golf Club held its annual dinner and prize giving on Friday 17th February, it was held at the Hilton Grosvenor Hotel, Edinburgh. Speakers included Mr Steven Hall, General Manager Hilton Grosvenor, Mr Sanjoy Das Chairman and Past Captain 2011, on behalf of our guests Mr Duncan Kirk, in reply Mr Eoin Ramsay and Vote of Thanks was by our current Captain, Mr Barry Chapman. A great night was had by all, and a special mention to the amazing Mike Whellans, who as a guest, unexceptionally entertained us with a few blues numbers....... Thank you Mike.

Queen The Apollo Theartre Glasgow 1977.......

Some long and lost negatives found of Queen back in 1977, Freddy in Shorts !!!!!!! I have great memories of my time photographing the bands of the 70"s at the Apollo, the rest of my negatives and transparencies from that period are all lost, ...... It is a long story wont so bore you with the details. Photographed at the Apollo Theatre in Glasgow, I was with them for three days and nights photographing them at rehearsals, back at their hotel, and of course on the concert nights, I was young,naive and had long hair and a 30" waste !! Loved it ........
