Bibury March 2011

I was in the beautiful Cotswolds last week photographing the wedding of Steven and Sarah. The wedding was in the village of Bibury once described, by the English poet and artist, " William Morris" as the most beautiful village in England. It's not hard to see why he thought so. The village is on the River Coln which runs through the bottom half of the village. Arlington Row photographed below....... Reached on foot by crossing an old stone bridge. It's famous for its honey-coloured stone cottages with their steep pitched roofs. These 17th century cottages, known as Arlington Row, were converted from an original hall, used to store wool, into weavers' homes. If you have not had a chance to visit Bibury and the Cotswolds it is definitley worth the effort.

Dubai Febuary 2011

I was working in Dubai last week at Amber and Jon's wedding and had some time to myself either side of the wedding day. I went walk about, taking some photographs on the way. What an exciting place Dubai is. Full of energy and full of amazing opportunities. If I could turn back the clock and be 21 again I wouldn't be home. (Sorry Pam and the dogs.) The few photographs above sum up Dubai, the Old and the Modern . The Old was Charu, the man photographed out side his cloth and tailors shop in the Old City. I spent some time with him, over a Turkish coffee, what an amazing character he is. I could have stayed all day and listened to him. The Modern is the famous 7 star hotel Buj Al Arab in Jumeirah. Two contrasts from an amazing city.
